APRIL 30 - MAY 2

 

Welcome back Seasonals' covered dish social. Come meet and greet with your fellow seasonals on Saturday at 6:30 in the lounge.

MAY 7-9

Mother's Day

Kids are invited to make a MOTHER'S DAY CRAFT on Sat. morning. FREE GAME OF MINI GOLF FOR CAMPING MOMS (must be accompanied by a child). Get a free coffee and donut on Sunday morning for camping mothers.

MAY 14-16

 

Springtime is here! Join our GUIDED SPRING HIKE which leaves from the office at 9 am Sat. Please bring at least a quart of water per person. There will also be an egg hunt (for ages 3-12) Saturday afternoon throughout the campground.

MAY 21-23 POUNDS FOR PRIZES WEEKEND Guess the weight of various objects and win a prize, or enter our "How Many In a Pound" contest. FREE GIFT to anyone who brings in a pound or more of aluminum can flip tops or a pound of metal soda/beer bottle caps. + KINDRED SPIRITS FAIR AND MUSIC FEST. A celebratory, family-oriented holistic/metaphysical outdoor festival with speakers, workshops, kids program, live performances, and a global marketplace.

Memorial Day

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. Take a step back into the WILD WEST with a themed TREASURE HUNT on Saturday morning, SHOOTIN' CONTEST (safe for kids) in the afternoon, and a WESTERN MOVIE MARATHON in the lounge on Sunday.

JUNE 4-6

FOUNDERS DAY WEEKEND Help us celebrate the life of Joe Taylor, founder of the campground. Learn how extraordinary he was and how he lived his life. View his slide show about animals in NJ and take a guided hike through the history of the campground, Free cake and coffee on Sun. morning. Sat & Sun are NJ's free fishing days! You do not need a license to fish in the area this weekend. +Crawfish Festival at the Sussex County Fairgrounds Sat. & Sun.

JUNE 11-13

Celebrate Flag Day with an American scavenger hunt. There will also be a kids story and craft Saturday afternoon.

JUNE 18-20

Father's Day

Kids are invited to make a FATHER'S DAY CRAFT for Dad on Saturday afternoon.  Sunday morning get a free cup of coffee and donut for Dads.  FREE GAME OF MINI GOLF for camping fathers (must be accompanied by a child). Its also BEAVER DAY! Come enter the BEAVER COLORING CONTEST.

JUNE 25-27

2nd ANNUAL CHICKEN WING WEEKEND AT CAMP TAYLOR! Bring at least two dozen of your favorite wings to share with your fellow campers. And sign up at the office to enter our RUBBER DUCKY DERBY!

4th of July

FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND Kid's story and craft, Patriotic Treasure hunt, jelly bean guess and more! +KUTZTOWN PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN FESTIVAL 7/3-7/11, 9am - 6pm. $12/ $11 seniors/12 and under free. All week pass $20. +Fireworks at Shawnee Mountain 7/4

JULY 9-11

ICE CREAM SOCIAL Make your own sundae Saturday evening in the lounge (there is a small fee for this event) GEOCACHE WEEKEND! Learn about this exciting outdoor activity. There will be a short video explanation of what Geocaching is and how to play, and then you will have an opportunity to find several caches hidden on the campground. If you have your own handheld GPSr, bring it along. If not, there will be some here to try. Local geocache map sheets with coordinates will be available in the office for off-site caches. +KUTZTOWN PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN FESTIVAL 7/3-7/11, 9am - 6pm. $12/ $11 seniors/ 12 and under free. FRONTIER WEEKEND Test your frontiersman skills with a FIREBUILDING CONTEST and TREE IDENTIFICATION CONTEST Saturday morning and our 2 nd annual CHILI COOKING CONTEST in the evening. Bring a pot of your best chili recipe and sign up on Friday. Judging will be by our campground staff. +Pocono's Wurst Festival Sat. & Sun.

JULY 23-25

CHRISTMAS IN JULY Visit from Santa, tree trimming and Christmas craft. Join us Saturday night for “REGIFT BINGO!” Hated a Christmas gift? Wrap it up and bring it as a prize for our bingo game ($5 minimum value, please) .

JULY 30- AUGUST 1

COUPLES GAME WEEKEND – Sign up in the office Friday night or Saturday morning to play the “newlywed” game! You don't have to be NEWLYwed, or even WED at all! All adult couples welcome. Also, enter our “Prettiest Pucker” contest in the office.

New Jersey State Fair

In an effort to contain and eliminate infestations of the Asian Longhorned Beetle, the USDA has quarantined areas on firewood for parts of NJ and NY. Because of this threat, we can no longer allow campers to bring firewood from outside the campground. Anyone who does bring wood with them will not be allowed on the premises. No Refunds will be given. It is your responsibility to inform all members of your party of this policy.
